Tyréns names former Arcadis executive Nilesh Parmar as UK managing director
Parmar takes charge of the Swedish group's two UK businesses, engineer Tyréns AKT and building services consultancy Tyréns Hilson Moran, five weeks after both firms adopted the Tyréns name.

Tyréns has appointed Nilesh Parmar, a former Arcadis executive, as managing director for Tyréns UK, to lead its two British businesses, Tyréns AKT and building services consultancy Tyréns Hilson Moran.
Parmar formally took up the post on Monday 5 October 2026, Tyréns Hilson Moran said in announcing the appointment. He will lead Tyréns in the UK and contribute to the strategic development of the wider group through international collaboration.
He joins from Arcadis, where he held senior leadership positions over more than two decades. His most recent role there was global insights, innovation and partnerships officer, leading work on artificial intelligence (AI), digital services, partnerships and decarbonisation. He has also held executive roles in the UK and North America.
Åsa Holmberg, chief executive of Tyréns Group, said: "Nilesh brings a combination of commercial leadership, strategic thinking and international experience that makes him exceptionally well placed to lead our UK business."
The UK businesses
The appointment follows a rebranding of both UK firms on 1 September 2026. Hilson Moran, which has been part of the Tyréns Group since 2017, began operating as Tyréns Hilson Moran on that date, and AKT II changed its name to Tyréns AKT. According to Tyréns AKT, its rename coincided with the firm's 30-year anniversary and a move to new headquarters at Norton Folgate in London.
Tyréns Hilson Moran describes itself as a practice of more than 200 people. The expertise listed on its website includes building services engineering (MEP), acoustics and vibration, building physics, smart buildings and digital engineering, energy and carbon consulting, security, sustainability and vertical transportation.
Andy Grint, managing director at Tyréns Hilson Moran, said at the time of the rename that the firm would continue to provide interdisciplinary advice across the built environment.
Parmar said the group's ownership structure and its UK firms were what attracted him. "It's a group with real ambition, a foundation-owned model that allows it to think long-term, and in Tyréns AKT and Tyréns Hilson Moran, we have two of the most respected names in the UK built environment," he said.
He said he wants to bring a sharp focus on clients and on innovation.
The group
Tyréns was founded in Sweden by Sven Tyrén in 1942 and is owned by the Sven Tyrén Foundation, whose board appoints the group's board of directors. The group says it has about 3,000 employees in total and operates across Sweden, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Canada, Denmark and the UK. Tyréns Hilson Moran describes the group as a £250m-plus business.
Tyréns said it sees the UK as a key contributor to its international growth strategy and a centre for interdisciplinary expertise and client delivery, and that the UK businesses are entering a new phase under the Tyréns brand.
Tyréns Hilson Moran has also entered a strategic partnering agreement with Milan-based United Consulting, intended to strengthen the delivery of projects in Italy and selected international markets.
Parmar's first day in the role was 5 October 2026.
